We offer one of the best Primary (age 5 – 11) School Direct immersive Teacher Training Programme accredited by Liverpool Hope University. We have a very high success rate of trainees securing jobs and often this is within our partnership.

Grange Valley Primary School is an Outstanding National Support School with responsibility for the St. Helens ONE School Direct training. It has a very successful record of working with other schools and the local authority, in improving teaching and learning, pupil’s attainment and achievement.

Your St Helens ONE School Direct Experience

As a training provider, we work in close partnership with Liverpool Hope University and several primary schools across St. Helens to ensure that we provide stimulating and challenging training to all of our trainee teachers.
Our School Direct Teacher Training programme has been carefully planned to ensure that you receive a personalised experience, drawing on your own knowledge and experience so that you are the driver of your own success and the success of the children you teach.
At St Helens ONE School Direct you will receive:

Fees and financial support
You may be eligible for a loan while you study – note that you’ll have to apply for undergraduate student finance.
The course fees for UK students are £9,250.
All Fees are paid to Liverpool Hope University
Trainee Support Available:
Each trainee successfully entering a St Helens ONE PGCE (QTS) programme 2020/21 will receive a laptop to use while undertaking the programme.
Qualifications needed
Degree in any subject, 2:1 or better.
Please note – in certain circumstances a 2:2 may be accepted, please contact us if you have not achieved a 2:1 to see if we can help.
GCSE (or equivalency tests) grades C (4) or above in English, Mathematics and Science.
Please note – these can be pending.

Liverpool Hope University will undertake the following prior to the start of the course:

The DFE have published that Skills Testing previously required are not a requirement for 2020/2021 applicants
