I have a passion for education and believe all children have the right to access quality first teaching and learning experiences.

I ensure that I understand and keep abreast of current and future national developments having lead many innovative changes throughout my career.

I received my NPQH in 2007 and have been able to use the knowledge I gained to further develop my leadership skills.

I am hard working and dedicated and believe that it is my responsibility to provide a stimulating, caring and supportive environment so that every child’s school life is a successful, happy and rewarding experience. Throughout my career I have been committed to high standards and continuous school improvement.

I have been keen to get involved in all aspects of school life, as a senior leader and governor I have vast experience of developing the schools ethos, mission statements, improvement planning and policy making. I am involved in all aspects of school finances from setting initial budgets to project work and monitoring through the most recent financial standards.

I firmly believe that as Headteacher you should be a visible embodiment of the school’s ethos and values, whilst maintaining classroom and corridor credibility. My class teaching has always been graded as outstanding and this has enabled me to provide appropriate levels of challenge and support when managing the performance and appraisal of all staff members.

I have written and presented work for a variety of audiences both within school and for the Local Authority, including courses and staff development meetings on Transition across phases, Moderation, Assessment, Literacy, SEND and Challenge within the Curriculum for More Able Children. These opportunities have given me the confidence to address large audiences and motivate other professionals. My work with other schools and colleagues throughout the LA has earned me an excellent reputation.
